PARLOR MANAGER / LEAD MILKER
Responsibilities & Focuses Include:
UDDER HEALTH
• Prevent new mastitis cases
• Detect new mastitis cases
• Treat new mastitis cases
• Manage treatment records
MILK QUALITY
• Achieve low SCC everyday
• Achieve low Bulk Tank Cultures
MILK QUANTITY
• Harvest high lbs. of milk per cow per day
• Harvest high total lbs. shipped per day
ROUTINE ACCURACY
• Ensure all routines/SOP’s are followed exactly as written
• Achieve flow rate goals
• Fill-out milking shift reports
EFFICIENCY
• Achieve parlor throughput rates established by Operations Manager
• Ensure milking shifts are on-schedule
LEADERSHIP
• Be a good example for all employees
• Assign specific work to each teammate and make sure
each person does his/her job throughout the day
• Train new & existing milkers by explaining how & why we do each task
• Maintain a professional relationship with all co-workers
GENERAL CLEANLINESS
• Keep parlor area (floors, units, walls, etc.) clean, safe, and organized throughout the day
• Keep common areas clean
